Alsatian cottage cheese tart, a real delight

Coming from Alsatian cuisine, the Alsatian cottage cheese tart is an original recipe.

Try this tart filled with fromage blanc, with a soft texture, a pure marvel. Its flavor with the combination of milk and cream is simply good.

To make the recipe a success, you must measure the ingredients carefully and prepare them before starting the recipe.

You must also respect the cooking time and temperature, so follow the steps described below step-by-step.

Servings: 8 people

Ingredients :

750 g of white cheese
135 g of flour
150 g thick crème fraîche
40 ml of milk
5 eggs
165 g of powdered sugar
1 packet of vanilla sugar

For the dough:

250g of flour
140g butter
1 egg

Preparation :

To start, prepare the dough by mixing the flour and butter until you get a sandy consistency.

Then add the egg and mix.

Old ball. Reserve 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, prepare the filling, mix the flour and sugars in a bowl.

Add the fromage blanc, heavy cream, milk and egg yolks.

In another bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff using a whisk.

Then, combine the egg whites with the fromage blanc mixture.

Transfer the dough into a tart mold measuring 28 cm in diameter and 6 cm high.

Must fit up to the edge of the mold.

Cooking is done in 2 stages: 30 minutes at 180°C then 60 minutes at 155°C

Remove from the oven, invert the tart onto a rack and leave to cool.

Then, sprinkle with icing sugar.
